'The Nest' Breakfast and After School Club

Kington St Michael Primary School provides a Breakfast and After School Club, known as 'The Nest' for the children of parents and carers who require additional childcare before and after school hours.

The Nest will run from Monday to Friday in the school hall.

The Breakfast Club is open every school morning.  There are two sessions available:

7.40am-8.40am - £4.00 per session - to include breakfast

8.00am-8.40am - £2.50 per session - does not include breakfast

The Afterschool Club also operates two sessions:

3.25pm-5.00pm - £8.00 per session. This includes a welcome snack and a drink

3.25pm-6.00pm - £12.00 per session.  This includes a welcome snack, drink and a light tea (Tea is given between 5pm and 5:15pm)

The emphasis at 'The Nest' is on play and leisure rather than education, but there is an opportunity for pupils to complete reading and homework if they wish.

There are a wide range of activities for your child to access at The Nest.  There are a selection of puzzles, board games, drawing and colouring activities, small world activities, lego, model making, books to read as well as different craft activities.  There is also an opportunity for the children to play outside on the school field or on the playground.  We provide a variety of sports activities to promote physical development.  All activities will be planned and supervised by The Nest staff.

Booking a place and payment of fees are made through SCOPAY.  'The Nest' also accepts payment using childcare vouchers, please contact the school office to set this up on SCOPAY.  Places need to be booked by midnight the night prior to attending, however if you require a booking at short notice please contact the school office.
