If Your Child Is Absent

  • Call the school first thing in the morning on 01249 750454 and either leave a message, or speak to Mrs Allott or Miss Gardner. Or email admin@ksm.wilts.sch.uk. 

  • Explain the nature of the illness so that this can be recorded in the school system.

  • Keep us updated if absence continues.

  • Schedule appointments outside school hours where possible.

     

If Your Child Is Late

  • Telephone or email the school office as soon as possible.

  • Register at the main office.

  • Frequent lateness can count as unauthorised absence.

 

Holidays & Authorised Absence

  • Term-time holidays are usually unauthorised and can result in a fine.

  • Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance.

  • Only special circumstances may be approved.

 

Remember: Every day counts. Regular attendance helps your child succeed academically, socially and in life!

 

Guidance for Absence due to sickness

We are obliged to follow Wiltshire Council guidance which is informed by the UK Health Security Agency with regards to infections illnesses such as diarrhoea and vomiting. Children can return to school 48 hours after diarrhoea and vomiting have stopped.
